Italian Tomato Sauce


Ingredients

½ onion, finely chopped.
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped.
400g canned diced tomatoes.
4 tblsp tomato paste.
Dash red wine vinegar.
6 basil leaves, finely chopped.
1 teaspoon oregano, finely chopped.

Method

Soften onion and garlic with a touch of olive oil over low heat.
Stir in tomatoes, paste, vinegar, and herbs.
Reduce.
Season.
